The A 918 Compact Litronic wheel excavator was recently showcased at the Liebherr international trade press tour event, held in Germany in October 2024. Weighing in at 17,500 - 19,600 kg, the machine combines high performance with excellent flexibility. It can be operated in driving mode between 20 and 37 km/hr.

With the Liebherr Power Efficiency (LPE), which optimises all power management processes on Liebherr compact wheel excavators, fuel consumption is significantly reduced. Proactive intervention in the engine control system, changing the pivoting angle of the hydraulic pump and adjusting the engine speed lead to optimum efficiency of the drive components in every work situation.

The folding arm console is included as standard, offering the machine operator greater safety when getting in and out of the cab. The brake opens automatically when the accelerator pedal is pressed and closes automatically when the machine comes to a standstill – there is no need for manual operation. This ensures extra safety and higher productivity thanks to shorter reaction times.

The A 918 Compact features a small tail swing radius of 1.85 m and the minimum workspace required is just 4.28 m. This makes it possible to use the machine in tight jobsites, such as in civil engineering, waterway construction, cable and pipeline construction as well as road and path construction.

In addition, all components requiring maintenance are arranged on the right-hand side of the machine, conveniently accessible from the ground and easy to reach thanks to the large, wide-opening service doors. Quick-change systems and a wide range of attachments from Liebherr also provide more flexibility for the A 918 Compact.
