RM Group to present new scalper and jaw crusher at bauma

Rubble Master (RM Group) will be displaying two new developments at bauma, the RM H50X scalper and the RM J110X jaw crusher. They have been designed based on the ‘RM Next’ philosophy that focuses on greater efficiency and electrification, enhanced safety for operators, easier operation, modularisation and better service provided through digitalisation.

The two new machines are equipped with hybrid drive systems from the outset and feature the latest digital solutions to provide operators with even higher energy efficiency, productivity and reliability for the future, said RM Group.

As part of the RM Next philosophy, the group is consistently supporting electrification and offers all of its crushers and screens as hybrid versions. These machines can be operated fully electrically as well. A special focus is on combining them to form crushing and screening trains so they can be operated together. This means, for example, that the crusher can also power the screen, saving time and costs for the users as they only need to refuel and service one engine.

According to RM Group, the RM hybrid machines consume up to 25% less fuel than diesel-direct systems. If a crusher equipped with a hybrid drive system also powers an electric screen – a standard set-up with RM – even greater savings can be achieved. With this technology, the savings are much higher than with conventional diesel-hydraulic systems. Another advantage is that the machines can be used in emissions-sensitive areas.

Furthermore, RM Group offers digital solutions to give users a full overview of their machines while operating more efficiently. Using the RM XSmart app, operators can network with their machines either using an app on their mobile devices, or by using the browser app. Fleet management, condition monitoring, end-to-end reporting and troubleshooting support make daily life much easier and, at the same time, increase productivity.

RM Group also provides a networked crushing and screening train, whereby the machines can communicate with each other so that they can adjust their output to the utilisation of the upstream and downstream units, or react to an event such as one of the machines in the train switching off. This means the machines are not overloaded, nor do they run idle. That’s why autonomous crushing and screening is the next logical step that RM Group plans to introduce in the near future.
