The next Going Digital Event by Bentley Institute will take place in Singapore on 2 August 2018 at the Suntec Convention Centre. This full-day event will comprise a variety of informative sessions, featuring major infrastructure projects and best practices that can be applied on engineering projects of all sizes.

Morning keynote presentations will highlight the benefits of Going Digital and explore the next generation cloud platform for digital workflows – the iModelHub. There will also be examples from innovative and well-known infrastructure projects around the world.

Afternoon sessions will address several areas including: how to improve project outcomes for both owner-operators and project delivery firms; how industry leaders and regional experts have advanced infrastructure with Bentley solutions; and how users can fully leverage the potential of BIM technology by going digital.

The industry seminars will discuss two topics focusing on the main infrastructure initiatives in Singapore, one of which is transportation infrastructure solutions. It will analyse some of the trends and drivers affecting the rail and road industries today, and look at how Bentley’s latest technology - consisting of OpenRoads, OpenRail, AECOsim Station Designer, ContextCapture and its connected data environment - can connect the multi-discipline teams to enhance high-performance digital workflows within organisations and infrastructure projects (e.g. road and rail construction projects, integrating highways, rail tracks, tunnels, bridges and stations, etc).

The other topic is the process plant solutions, which will talk about how the industry is using data to deliver complex infrastructure projects - such as wastewater treatment plants - on time and within budget while maintaining standards, safety and reducing risk. It will elaborate on the design and construction of the Changi and Tuas water reclamation plants under the DTSS (Deep Tunnel Sewerage System) project and the incinerator power plant in Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF).

The Going Digital Event was also recently held in other cities, including Shanghai and Beijing, China; Mumbai and Delhi, India; and Hong Kong.
