Hong Kong – International architecture practice, 10 Design (part of Egis Group), is delighted to announce the expansion of its Shenzhen operation in China. Relocated to the vibrant CBD of Shenzhen Bay, 10 Design Shenzhen is rising as a new design studio that provides full design services for the practice’s ongoing and new projects across China. The expanded studio will further strengthen the practice’s design expertise throughout Asia.
This follows the appointment of Peby Pratama, Associate Partner, as the design lead of the new Shenzhen design studio. Having joined 10 Design Hong Kong in 2010, Peby has led and won numerous international design competitions and commissions in Asia including China. He brings extensive design and delivery experiences of diverse scales, disciplines and typologies with him to the new role.
Chief Executive Officer, Ross Milne commented: “We are pleased to see the robust growth of 10 Design Shenzhen since its opening in 2020. It has undoubtedly further deepened our commitment and belief in the region’s increasing demand for design and innovation.
The expansion of our new Shenzhen studio, as well as the recent expansion of our head studio in Hong Kong, are both pivotal to the success of 10 Design’s long-term growth strategy to steadily enhance our regional footprint while forging synergies across our international design studios.”
Managing Partner - China, Doris Chen said: “The success of our Shenzhen operation is a result of our active presence in China and particularly across the Greater Bay Area.
As China remains one of the most dynamic markets for design and construction, we will continue to contribute our design expertise in transport-oriented developments as well as mixed use, retail, residential, research and science, and civic and cultural projects for China’s emerging cities.”
Over the past 12 years, 10 Design has built a substantial portfolio in the Greater Bay Area. This includes the ongoing projects of China Merchants’ Prince Bay Residential Development, Pengcheng Laboratory in Shenzhen, and Galaxy International Convention Center & Andaz Macau, along with the soon-to-be-completed major developments of Guangzhou Huabang International Centre, CR Land’s Sungang MixC Market Hall, and Zhuhai Shizimen Convention and Exhibition Centre (Phase 2) to name a few.
Chief Operating Officer, Miriam Auyeung added: “It’s a privilege for us to be able to take part in the transformation of China’s built environment. Under the leadership of Peby, 10 Design Shenzhen will actively engage in the country’s sustainable urbanisation agenda and carbon neutrality commitments.
10 Design has already successfully delivered numerous projects in China which have achieved internationally recognised green accreditation. Most notably are the LEED Platinum-certified Greatwall Complex in Wuhan, and all three projects in the Zhuhai Jinwan District – Jinwan Mall, Industrial Service Centre, and International Business Centre – that received the 2-Star Certificate of Green Building Design Label.”
Peby and the Shenzhen team look forward to welcoming visitors to the new design studio. Visit them at Room 2001, 20/F, Block A, Building 1, Lenovo Houhai Centre (Telun Plaza), Nanshan, Shenzhen.
