Distinguished companies from the Franche-Comté region will attend the first Maison&Objet Asia, which is held on 10 to 13 March 2014 at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
The presence of an industrial fabric specialising in processing metals and materials and surface treatment in Franche-Comté has brought prestigious luxury goods manufacturers in search of skills, and technical and creative resources needed to produce the objects in their collections.
Rich in expertise, Franche-Comté is sought out by the largest luxury goods manufacturers. Among these include watch making, eyewear, tableware, leather goods, perfumes, writing instruments, jewellery, high fashion, accessories, decoration, and furnishings. Luxury goods are produced in Franche-Comté by more than two hundred firms.

Kitchen and tableware
Cristel, is an original French label that had just celebrated its 30th anniversary. Cristel revisits the kitchen utensil by inventing the concept of the removable handle, and by giving it a high-end status. Its collections are sold around the world, further enhancing the French art of living.
From factory-produced to mouth-blown glass, La Rochère’s inspired products range from eighteenth-century reproductions to creations by young designers. It relies on conviviality, gourmandise, and curiosity to respond to the expectations of modern ways of living. La Rochère is one of the last strongholds of glassmaking tradition.
Founded in 1475, La Rochère perpetuates its know-how in tableware by producing in France and exporting to about 40 countries. Acting on both retail and Horeca markets, La Rochère offers a large range of mechanical-made tableware such as glass sets, dessert cups, mugs and coffee cups, salad bowls, and appetizer dishes.
La Rochère products feature unique designs- either vintage or contemporary. Also, good sturdiness gives its glass collections a very specific touch. La Rochère also continues the tradition of mouth blown crystalline through elegant collections of hand-made glasses.
Platex, a notable French manufacturer, offers personalised trays and accessories in decorated acrylic, trolleys, isothermic products, and melamine tableware. Their products meet the expectations of an up market, and are distributed to retailers, department stores and online retailers.
