Signify (formerly Philips Lighting) is launching a household-grade disinfection device in Singapore that utilises UV-C technology to help consumers to disinfect their homes from viruses and bacteria effectively. The effectiveness of Signify’s UV-C light sources on the inactivation of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-has been validated by Boston University.

The cleanliness of objects and surfaces at home can have a profound effect on our health and wellbeing, as we are all at risk of contracting or spreading viruses and germs when touching items. A proven and effective way to neutralise viruses and bacteria is through UV-C irradiation – for more information, please find attached an infographic which will give you an overview on UV-C light.

Signify has been at the forefront of UV technology for more than 35 years and has a proven track record of developing innovative UV-C products and applications. To create a safer, disinfected home environment, Signify’s UV-C Disinfection Desk Lamp is easy to use – with a concise control panel and built-in voice guidance – and will give you and your loved ones a peace of mind while studying or working at home. The UV-C desk lamp will also emit a blue hue during disinfection so users can easily identify when it is in operation.
